The most expensive item on the list is Apple's new and improved tablet. No other platform offers the number of quality of apps like the Apple App Store, and the device is so compact. For all the Apple fans, its supposed that the new Apple iPad  3 is going to be released during the first quarter of 2012, probably during march. The only problem is that based on the rumours there are not going to be big changes, just being more light and a few other applications. So if you really need this I would recommend buying this having the same applications and you dont have to wait for 3 long months. Sorry Apple fans!

ASUS Eee Pad Transformer

Price: $399 (plus $125 for keyboard)

Every college student needs a computer, but why hassle with having a laptop and a tablet when one device can be both at the same time? The ASUS Eee Pad Transformer is a powerful Android 3.0 tablet that's has this features. It is slightly bigger than the iPad, but it has the ability to become a laptop when docked to an attachable keyboard (sold separately). The total price of around $525 is slightly less than an iPad 2 with a Smart Cover ($538).

This is a great device! March 2012 = Apple iPad 3 Release?

           For all you loyal Apple customers. There are certain rumors that the next generation of Apple's market leading and competitor tablets will launch the iPad 3 in March 2012.. the only defect?. It will come out with minor updates, like a increased battery life and a slimmer form.

           It is claimed that the next generation of the popular and demanding tablet will be released in a couple of months. The past tablet is the most popular and highest selling tablet device on the market and there was and still are speculations of how Apple will improve this device for the next year. The rumors say that it will be slimmer, also an introduction of the A6 CPU and a 9.7-inch Retina style.

           This are just rumors in many Apple forums, I guess we will have to wait for Apple to make an announcement of the real updates and exact launch of the product.

Battlefield 3 become EA's fastest selling game

I don't consider myself a gamer, but I really like playing war games. I had an obsession with Call of Duty Black Ops in the multiplayer style and now I think i will play 24/7 the new Battlefield 3.

battlefield 3 has become Electronic Arts the fastest selling title with an impressive 5 million copies just in the opening week. This improving the sales from Madden, FIFA, Need for Speed, etc. The response of this game has been amazing, they sold half of the 10 million copies they release for the opening week. Hunders of gamers were waiting outside retailers stores across the country to be the first ones to get the game in their hands.

This game is designed with Frostbite 2, a new technology that allows you to experience a superior animation, unparallel lightning and special effects, epic scale and an amazing sound design. This game has changed dramatically since Battlefield 2, now you have the option to destroy almost anything, from buildings, demolish covers, and shoot trough walls to eliminate guys crouching behind the walls.

I really want to see which game will sell more or its going to be more well accepted in the market. Battlefield 3 or Modern Warfare 3.

Apple confirms iOS bug causing battery drain..

For all those users of iPhone 4S, you may know by now that the battery life from the phone dropped off on some people´s phone. Apple confirmed there are several bugs in the system affecting the battery life. They informed that there will be a release of a software update to address those bugs and remove them in a few weeks. A few days ago there were a lot of complains in the Apple forums, but there is not a quick answer for a temporary backup software or advise for those people with battery problems.

Concept cars that we wish to have

Today I am not going to talk about gadgets, but about the latest technology for this car models. Check them out!

Ford Evos

 This new car has a new concept, connecting the vehicle and driver. This car access your information via the cloud, which learns your preferences and driving habits so it can take more responsibility for routine functions. This can be like learning what kind of music you like in different locations, closing the garage electronically and it also predicts the time based on your work calendar, pre-heating or turning the A/C even before you enter the car. Audi A2

This is an electric car with a 120-mile range and it charges via a domestic three pin socket in just four hours. It will also use a wireless charging system that Audi is creating. It has a dynamic and fashion style made from aluminium and carbon fibre. The speed and handling will be also managed electrically. The price will start from ₤20,000 and it will be releases in 2014. Jaguar C-X16

This car will let you feel the sensation of what racers from Formula 1 feel. It has the system “push to pass” technology. This is a red steering wheel button positioned under the right thumb that will give an extra boost performance for a few seconds by a massive 95bhp. The engine is a 3.0 litre, with 375bhp petrol V6, and the extra boost will come from an electric motor behind the front seats. Another great function is that your smart phone’s screen will be replicated on the dashboard display. The price is going from ₤50,000 and will come out on winter 2012. Land Rover DC100 Sport

This will be an off road with features of Terrain-I scanning that will warn the user from hidden obstacles ahead and will suggest alternative routes. It will come with Wade Aid Technology that uses a sonar to asses water depth and suggest the right speed to go safely during the traveling. With just a click on the dashboard it will activate the tyre spikes for icy roads, and it has a 4X4 system that can be turned off which will decouple the rear axle when less grip is required in the road. Volkswagen NILS

The main concept of this car is that will be a plastic car and more brands like this are on the way. This have a vision of how the future transportation will be and mostly all of the car, including the windows will be made from high strength plastic to keep weight and the costs from the car lower. It will only weight 460kg and it is so light that the power assistance is not required for the steering. The style will include race cars seats, a rear engine, the driver will be in front and outboard. The motor will be made from lithium ion powered by electricity and will provide a 40 mile range. Sony S Tablet

Today´s gadget is the new Sony S tablet, a curvaceous wedge-shaped table. It has a book design and it makes it easier to grip with one hand. It has Android 3.2, this means it has access to the Android Marketplace with more than 300,000 to choose. For those game lovers, it is Playstation certified, which means there´s a host where you can play old PS1 games, with an on screen controller.

It has a 9.4” screen, a little smaller than the conventional 10” tablets. It only weights 600g, which it makes it identical to the iPad 2. It comes with a grip at the back for your hand, comes with a front and rear cameras with 5MP on the back and 0.3 on the front. It comes with a 1GB memory.

The battery reaches the 6 straight hours of continuous use with video and gaming, and 30 hours for browsing purposes. The price is starting at $499 for 16GB and $599 for the 32GB.

Dr. Dre Wireless Headphones

Today I will talk about the new Dr. Dre headphones, being a product with such a great success not only with headphones, but with speakers, laptops and now making a merge with HTC makers to make the new HTC Sensation XL with beats by Dr. Dre.

We will focus today in the new wireless headphones. They are connected to any audio device by wireless keeping the best quality possible. They are slightly weighty due to the batteries, controls, bluetooth technology and a microphone that is built inside the headphone, but its a good weight for the size of this product. The style continue to be black and minimalistic which give this product a better design for any market they want to focus. The bluetooth technology connects with any smart phone, tablet, laptop, PC or any audio device. You can manage the volume, skip tracks, and even answering the phone from the ear cups.

Some disadvantages may be that at the beginning it will be difficult to remember which button does what, but it will pass really quickly that detail.  It uses a lot of AAA batteries to keep it running, the material leaves  a lot of fingerprints and they can be a little expensive for a pair of headphones.

i dont find any other disadvantages about this headphones.. in my opinion I would really buy them if you love listening to music all day long.

ROKU 2 XS

There's a new way to stream TV. Presenting the Roku 2 XS, its an excellent device to enjoy the best movies, series, sports, music, games, etc. All this with just one click. No PC required, you just need a remote, using existing suscriptions like Netflix to enjoy all this activities.

Pros: Is a really small WI-FI device that offers Internet video and audio devices, such as Netflix, Hulu Plus, Amazon Instant Video, Crackle, Pandora, etc. Works with any TV, even standard televisions. It includes a motion controller for casual gaming, but it just includes one game. It offers a varied range of contents that beats Apple TV and you is the only streaming device that you can buy for less than $100 in the market.

Cons: You need to be already suscribed to streaming channels like Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, Pandora, etc. It works as a USB too, but its very limited. The extra remote works only for the only game available with this device that is Andry Birds.

       Today I'm going to do an exception and I'm not going to talk about a gadget that its still not out in the market. Here is why...


        I went to a focus group a few weeks ago with some friends to Sony Latinoamérica to talk about how people spend their time or free time using any kind of technology. We talked about what and how we use the technology, for example we saw a new tablet that is going out to the market and they ask us how it was for us, if the applications it has qualify for us as a plus to buy the product or how we could use that tablet as part of our lives. 


        I was quite amazed of how they have good products but the marketing they have, its not good. There was some amazing products that I had never heard before or seen them, and i ask them why Sony if its a huge corporation they havent do a good marketing campaign for them, they told me they have but they need new ideas, mainly that was the purpose of that focus group to know how they can get those innovative and creative products to us, because mainly a lot of the products they show'd us were for more teenagers and young people.


       Im missing the point of what i was going to talk about. I like to go to the gym and running, but the problem that i have and a lot of people will know what I'm talking about, are the headphones. i have tear them apart a couple of times because I love to have my Ipod with me while exercising, i have tried products that hold my ipod while I'm at the gym.. but the headphones are a pain in the ass!.. I always have trouble with them no matter if I put them inside my shirt or outside.



      They show'd me a line of products they have about headphones, they were kind of cool, but the colors where so bad and they were just focus to teenagers in this case. Until I saw some headphones that caught my attention right away.. There are the new Sony W-Series NWZ-W262 Walkman.. This headphones are perfect for people who have the same problem that me while exercising..  


      This headphones consist only of one piece, is water resistant, they have of 2BG and 4GB, they have a quick charge so you don't have to wait a long time like other mp3's to charge them and use them.. 3 minutes of charge last for 60 minutes of continuous music.


      I got this pair of headphones yesterday and I was surprised.. I tried them as soon as I got them and they were amazing, the charge was full, you sync the music really fast and the sound and quality they have are amazing for their size and price.. They sell the 2GB FOR $60 USD and the 4GB for $80.


     Now I just want to run more because I want to use them and forget about all the trouble i had with other headphones!.. My point is that there are really good products outside but the marketing campaigns are really bad.. I'm sure that theres a lot of people that haven't heard of this product that I'm talking about and that they would really buy this product without analyzing them too much, the problem is the lack of creative ideas for a good marketing campaign...

PRESENTING MOTOROLA´S DROID RAZR

Today I’m going to talk about the new release of Droid RAZR by Motorola.

            As part of their campaign they create a teaser website showing the product with the phrase “TOO POWERFUL TO FALL IN THE WRONG HANDS”.  It has a gorilla glass with a 4.3inch HD display with a dual-core 1.2GHz processor inside.

Some of the futures that it has an make it the closest competitor with the new Iphone 4S is an 8 megapixel rear camera capable of 1080p HD video, 1GB RAM, 16GB of storage with an additional 16GB on the microSD. The design is the thinnest 4G Smartphone but at the same time it’s made of a strong fiber that defends the screen against scrapes and scratches.


 It will have a free application called MotoCast that let the user stream your music, pictures and documents from your home or work computers anywhere. This is the closest Smartphone with this application beside the iPhone iCloud. It had dual cameras with a 1080p HD video recording with a new technology for a less blurry video. Motorola will sell an application where you can connect your DROID to a webtop accessory that will be sell separately and it will aloud you display your phone interface on a monitor HDTV.     

            In my opinion this droid will be a really good gadget for this season and it will be a really close competitor to the iPhone 4S. I havenThe release for this phone will be until October 27 in USA and a global release for November.

Steve Jobs incident = Good marketing for iPhone 4s?

“The first day preorders for iPhone 4S have been the most for any new product that Apple has ever launched," said Marketing VP Phil Schiller, adding that the company was "blown away" by the response to the new phone.

But now we get to the point. Why do people are buying this gadget?. Is it the death of Steve Jobs the answer or the fact that the new applications are quite useful and better than any other smartphone in the market?. I will try to explain my point of view about this success.

We start with the death of Steve Jobs. Here´s something where people can differ, but this is what I think. There are big corporations such as IBM, HP, and Microsoft that do focus group, surveys, and large committees for people to know what they think not only about their product, but their lifestyle so these big corporations can know the path of where to focus their products.

For me, Apple used the instincts of one man, Steve Jobs. His vision for his product and the marketing strategy he had for Apple was amazing. He knew that people was going to buy his product, he didn’t had to do any meetings or focus groups. Some of his ideas were that half the population are women and a lot of them, even some guys don´t want to learn about technology, so he made all his devices really easy to use. He was a risk taker, even his slogan was think different. This can be a huge problem to big companies, where they can lose their clients or even worst the product can be a complete failure.

He was a great visionary, a lot was good marketing, a lot was luck. That´s my point of view, I know many think different, but maybe there has been a thousand more companies that had launched their products with the same system, without thinking about what the people wanted, and had failed in this, but in a different way of view, Apple have created a new way of life, a new way of using one of the most advanced technology in a product that is not that expensive. His point of view was to take risks, if you have faith in your product dont hesitate in

Welcome all to my blog. My name is Guillermo Arco, I have 22 years, and like any other regular guy my age, I find so interesting the use of technology and it makes me want to know more about it everyday I see the news, television, listen to the radio or traveling through websites. Approximately 15 years ago no one imagined that the technology would had an amazing advance as is becoming more futuristic everyday. We used a cell phone that was called "the block" for its size, desktop computers that were very slow and their capacity were nothing helpful for the duties that people did everyday. The laptops were heavy and difficult to use due to their limited storage capacity, and there were no mp3, all we used was a CD player, which was one of the best gadgets we could find, even if the product was big and difficult to transport. This are only a few cases of how technology has advanced and improved the lives of every human.

      The internet has progressed dramatically, and today its role is taking advantage by companies to do all kinds of marketing campaigns by publishing and promoting to their specific target markets or to the community itself. This blog will focus on these two branches. How companies have taken their product and what kind of campaign they have done, if it worked, failed, and what I can see as an advantage or disadvantage of this and involving my ideas to see what people think about it and what they think the company can change or improve..
